The Lenape (Delaware) were already being forced from their ancestral homelands in New York City, the lower Hudson Valley, and much of New Jersey when the Dutch settled there in the 17th century. Three members of the Brokenhead Ojibway Nation are stocking the local grocery store and the food bank with fresh vegetables from what used to be a field of weeds in the community.
